The secret and mysterious music act from New York named The Golden Filter is one of my favourite things right now. I discovered them for about three months ago and since then I’ve been hooked. With great drive, nice disco beat and catchy synth lines together with a kind of whispering sexy female voice a la the seventies disco it’s hard not to be totally sold. Tracasseur believes that The Golden Filter will have their big breakthrough during 2009.The secret approach from the group has led to a lot of theories who they really are. Some say that they are a trio from New York others say that The Golden Filter is an UK-based graphic designer making music with vocals from his girlfriend. The mystifying acting is quite similar to what the Swedish electro duo The Knife has been doing since their breakthrough.
Well, the story will continue for sure and we will keep you posted whenever we hear anything exciting or revealing about The Golden Filter. Until then, enjoy these beautiful masterpieces!
