Stephan J was brought up in the north of Germany by a pair of professional musicians. Naturally he started playing instruments as a kid; violin, later drums, guitar and the piano. After living in London and becoming fascinated by London’s music culture, he started 'playing laptop' in 2008. Since then he's been combining club and electronic music with classical instruments as I'm Not A Band. In 2009 he was joined by Jana D for vocals and live shows and the question is if that doesn't technically makes them a band?I'm Not a Band - Crazy
