Productive as few, I Am Noxious makes music at a rapid pace. As we wrote in the post in December he makes a track in about two or three days. But what he makes in those few days, is great electronic pop music. This time we got our hands on two lovely new tracks that are a little different from before.
"This is a Ballad" is a slow track reminding of ballads from acts like Parker Lewis and Hot Chip. "Stranded on Love" is more pop than I Am Noxious has made before according to himself. I also must give you an older track "We Pray" that is said to be a demo. Demo or not, it's a fine tune with great cowbells. Don't forget to give your support to this talented youngster from London.

Worship remix of B-Xentric
Got this smookin' hot track in our SoundCloud only a few hours ago. It was love right away. B-Xentric from the UK is in the working progress of his EP "Miami Heat" where this track will be included. Worship, who we all love, makes this track into a kind of tougher movie soundtrack from the 80s.

Chasing for cinnamon
If you like acts such as Mackintosh Braun, Junior Boys, Gentle Touch and the Radio Dept. you should definitely check out Cinnamon Chasers. It's the solo-project of UK-based Russ Davies (aka ABAKUS) and last year he released the debut album "A Million Miles From Home" which is a masterpiece. It got great reviews and it's well worth all the praising. Shortly after that he released the great EP "The Elements" and it was as good as the album.
But even if many radio stations and newspapers liked Cinnamon Chasers it was quite few blogs who picked this up. I believe that Cinnamon Chasers need more blog love and therefore this post is made.
You can feel that the music in inspired from something dreamy and wonderful. The album "A Million Miles From Home" are said to be inspired by legendary movie "The Neverending Story". You can also hear influences from early masters such as Moroder and Jean-Micheal Jarre. The result is brilliant to my ears. By using guitars in some of his tracks together with dreamy synth sounds it gives Cinnamon Chasers a sound of his own.
Here are some assorted tracks from the album, the EP and from the the single "Modern Love/End Story. And buy everything with Cinnamon Chasers at Beatport. But start out with this fine video to "Luv Deluxe".
Cinnamon Chasers - End Story
Cinnamon Chasers - Minimalia
Cinnamon Chasers - Candle Lights
Cinnamon Chasers - Luv Deluxe
Cinnamon Chasers - The World Is Yours
Cinnamon Chasers - Ultraviolent
Cinnamon Chasers - Wishing for the Fire
One of those who got the attention for Cinnamon Chasers was another newcomer last year, Diamond Cut, who came from nowhere and made brilliant sound with the synthesizer in a lot of great remixes and beacuse of that he's one of my favourites. Here are two great remixes from him of Cinnamon Chasers and I especially adore the work he had put into "I Like Watching You", tremendous job!
Cinnamon Chasers - I Like Watching You (Diamond Cut Remix)
Cinnamon Chasers - Luv Deluxe (Diamond Cut Remix)
And to finish this post I can also announce that Cinnamon Chasers also make great remixes himself, this one of German Florian Kruse is a great one.

Et cetera, et cetera
Have a bit of a cold with headache, a sore throat et cetera. Thought I'd slam up a quick post with these tracks from LA dj, producer et cetera ETC!ETC!. He produces the kind of hard techno-y house that isn't quite fidget that other American acts such as Designer Drugs et cetera produce. You know the kind of music that'll make you want to dance and jump around et cetera too.
Danger - 4h30 (ETC!ETC! Remix)
LAZRtag - Never Gonna Stop (ETC!ETC! Remix)
Cold Blank - Doin' It Right (ETC!ETC! Bassline Remix 2)
ETC!ETC! - Blahster (Original Mix)
Think this text is stupid? Well it is, but I said I have a cold, didn't I?

Sir Lancelot's "So stuck in the 80's" vol. 2
I have to confess I've always dreamed of a mullet like these guys. I mean, how good can you look?! I guess they got more girls (and probably guys too...) in the 80's than Magnum P.I. ever did in his prime time. My favourite has to be the guy in the middle with blue/green velvet jacket.
Here are more 80's tunes from the 80's or just inspired by the 80's:
New remix by Norwegian master of edits. This tune will blow away the dance floor...
New Italian Disco from Italians Do It Better (as an half-Italian I have to agree on that statement) great use of vocoders.
Nice Italo-Disco from 1981 released on mythical Fulltime Records.
Ok, sorry it's actually released 1990...but has a genuine 80s feeling, for me at least.
Cool New Wave song from 1980.
Came out 1982 on Emergency Records.
New 80's Disco in a great version of Mr Wilson.

Filtro Organico...
...is the name of no other than my new project together with producer Christoffer Bjorklund from Rocca that we did an interview with last year. As you can hear it's based on a sample from a very famous disco tune, say no more.
Please tell us what you think about it and keep in mind it's my very first production ever. More is coming...

New remix by Buffetlibre
Our good Spaniards Buffetlibre have just come up with another fine remix of the American indie band The Antlers. The original track "Two" has been a huge indie hit on all the blogs during 2009. And now it has the possibility to make another round in the blogosphere with Buffetlibre's great remix. Now it's time for The Antlers to get hyped in the electronic blog world too, thanks to Buffetlibre.
By the way, keep your eyes open here at Tracasseur, because in a short while we're are going to post an exclusive interview with Buffetlibre.

Ben Rymer at Glasnost
Tonight the university town of Uppsala will have a noble visitor at the sweatiest club in town. We are speaking about Ben Rymer visiting the great italo/80s club Glasnost run by our good friends Dogs From Redding.
Ben Rymer has been around for quite a while but is always up-to-date. He has just released the single "La Trinciarice" on Serge Santiago's label Arcobaleno. "La Trinciarice" means "The Shredder" and it's an italo inspired epic and cosmic journey into space. You can buy the single along with the "Dream Dub" version here.
Most recently, Ben Rymer has joined the Disco Bloodbath crew, London’s finest connoisseurs of only the best cosmic, disco influenced music. The collective have remixed Franz Ferdinand, Little Boots, Tommie Sparks, Wolfgang and many more. Rymer has also recently started his own label, Channel 83, with Disco Bloodath cohort Damon Martin.
Ben was formerly part of The Fat Truckers and toured with the indie heroes of Pulp. He was also a part of Gucci Soundsystem, who have released on Bugged Out and DFA and who promoted the now legendary London club-night Druzzis. This led to Ben DJing at Fabric, a residency at Weekend in Berlin, Space in Ibiza, Le Baron in Paris, The Arches in Glasgow and lots more. And now it's time for him to visit Glasnost in Uppsala and Tracasseur are of course going to be there. Here we go!

Tiger & Woods
No it's not Borat speaking here about Tiger's latest love affair...I'm talking about Larry Tiger and David Woods from Cayman Islands (well that's what their super cool MySpace page says) making excellent discotainment for us. Did I just come up with a new word now?
Anyway I love these mysterious guys, just listen to these sweaty songs. You probably recognize the sample in Gin Nation from Imagination's "Music & Lights". So come on and support these guys now!

Pick up the remixes
We have already posted remixes of Dragonette's epic "Pick Up the Phone" a while ago. They're still popping up though, so let's just make a copy of the last post.
The latest one is by Van She keyboardist and guitarist Michael Di Francesco who calls himself Arithmatix! while on remix duty. As when Van She Tech remixes anything this a pumping, energetic affair. This has more of a disco house flavour though. Thanks Discodust!
Dragonette - Pick Up The Phone (Arithmatix! Remix)
This is another pumping house version by Madrid's Here We Are which dropped before Christmas and has been a favourite of mine since then.
Dragonette - Pick Up The Phone (Here We Are Remix)
And as we did in the previous post I'll finish off with a remix of "Easy". Digitalfoxglove mentioned in our interview that he's collaborating with English electro act Slaughterbrains, so why not post his techno-y take on it?

09/17 2007
You probably know it and have probably heard the track already, but French horror electro star Danger is releasing his new EP on Ekler'o'shock which includes the new hit "4h30". The EP is aptly named "09/17 2007" since the last one was called "09/16 2007". Release dates are January 25 for the vinyl and February 1 for the digital release.
Inspired by old video games, the concept of Danger's latest releases are that they're placed in different settings. "09/16 2007" was set in the jungle, and much like in video games when you level up, the settings changes. For "level 2" we're dropped down into urban surroundings that are meant to give you more of a street feel. That feel is also conveyed through the new promo video, which will make you want to rumble through your parents' basement for your old Amiga 500:
Pretty sweet, huh? Well, Tobbe of Dödselectro made this unofficial video last week, which is pretty rad too (and makes it two Terminator videos in a row):
Get the intense track in its full 320kbps glory:

Skynet Symphonic
With only small sounds recorded from the James Cameron masterpiece "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", Australian youngster Pogo makes his tribute to one of the greatest action movies of all time.
Each section is composed entirely of sounds from a major scene in the film. For example, the Terminator pounding on the fire escape door is used as a kick drum. Bones breaking play the role of a snare. Electrical disturbance acts as a crash cymbal. Have fun!

Iceland's best kept secret
With a name reminding of a radio station in the capital of Northern Ireland maybe it's not that strange it's a secret that they actually are from Iceland. FM Belfast are kind of new to me, but they aren't new to everyone I could tell by 466,123 visitors at their MySpace. They are a fantastic band in all respects; first of all they have an inspirational electro-indie-pop sound and secondly they always put on an explosive, impulsive and unpredictable live show, with anything from 3 to 30 people on stage, always hitting the high notes and always leaving you with a smile.
They are about to re-release their debut album "How To Make Friends", which they released on their own label World Champion Records in 2008. But now it's time for "the real" release on Morr Music/Kimi Records this week. The first single out was "Par Avion" and it's about an Icelandic girl who moves to the Caribbean. Here is the video and a remix of fellow countrymen Retro Stefson:
FM Belfast - Par Avion (Retro Stefson Remix)
The next single is said to be "Underwear" and it's one of the strongest tracks on the album. Other great tunes are "Optical", "Synthia" and the two totally different covers of Rage Against the Machine and Technotronic. You can buy the great album here and you can also download "I Can Feel Love" from the album underneath this video to "Underwear".
FM Belfast - I Can Feel Love
2009 have been very eventful for the band, they finally played in their namesake city Belfast to a very pleased crowd. They've played a few festivals around the world and are booked for this years Iceland Airwaves festival. FM Belfast have also been active remixing tracks for other artists including múm, Retro Stefson, GusGus and Kasper Bjørke. Here are the greatest remixes of them, where I totally are in love with the remix of Bjørke's "Doesn't Matter".

Sharam and The Burning Man
I don't know if you've been at the Burning Man Festival at the Black Rock Desert in Nevada. Well I haven't, but it is my dream to go there this year possibly with my fellow colleagues here at Tracasseur.
Here below is a very cool teaser and trailer from Sharam (ex-Deep Dish) from this unbelievable festival. Based in Washington D.C Sharam makes more clubby electronic music such as his rival dance stars Tiesto and Deadmau5 but many times a lot better. Usually I don't listen to clubby house but I've always been a fan of his old alter ego Deep Dish. Listen to his music at MySpace here. I really like the deep sound of "Don't Say A Word".

Polographia
From Sydney, Australia we proudly present *drumroll* Polographia! Two young guys, Moktar Sharouny age of 16 and Daniel Stapleton age of 21. Impressive productions as if they been in the business for a long time. It all started in the beginning of 2009 when they started making music just for fun. They have always had a predilection to be experimental and different. They started out by making silly and strange music but soon realized that they were making not only different but also really cool sounds. They got more serious and Polographia was born in April 2009.
One of the first remixes they made was of the most remixed track last year (we have mentioned that in like zillions of posts last year) "1901" by Phoenix. They manage to make it into a new different track. 2.58 into the track there is something nice happening to the sound. They have played around with different sounds that they usually record themselves. In this remix they actually using the sound of a ripped paper. And it's a different and superb remix.
"Transform" is another success. Its one of their own favourite songs they have made yet. It started out as a joke when Moktar said to Dan they they should sample the sound of the transforming of the transformers in the movie Transformers. And so they did! After playing around with it the result became "Transform".
They are on their way releasing their debut EP "Delta" soon. They know that it's maybe to early to release one but they have too much creativity to share and we urge them to release it faster than you can say...Polographia...

Disco in the house with TEEN
If you are dirty and was looking for something else, you are totally in the wrong place, but stay tuned anyway because TEEN is good in another way. TEEN is making great house music with that special sensual French touch.
TEEN was founded by two girls named Amy and Natalie but nowadays TEEN is exclusively run by Amy due to Natalie is in to other projects at the time. Amy was born in southern France, then she moved to New York and finally she became a Torontonian and that is not a bad choice because Toronto is said to be one of the most liveable cities in the world. She have roots in the punk music scene and parts of her influences are punk and rock n' roll music such as The Ramones, Rolling Stones and Daft Punk...
She describes the music like this: "TEEN is a convergence of the sharp edges of punk with the glamorous funk and bounce of disco – for a new-style of house music."
TEEN's remix of indie Torontonian Valery Gore is as the would say in French: "magnifique". I also throw in another great remix of "Shoes of Glass" along with the fine original because it's so different from the remix. Amy hopes to release a TEEN EP in the spring of 2010. I think it's going to be magic if it becomes reality.

Tesla Boy remix of Anoraak
This is going to be a quick one, the whole Tracasseur crew is going to see In Flagranti tonight. But our favourite Russians Tesla Boy has remixed the track that got Anoraak flying the charts last year. Once again big ups for our buddies over at French Express, pay them a visit as often you visit Tracasseur because they post exclusive stuff. This one is from them to you via Tracasseur, you could say that we have started a kind of collaboration.

Get down dirty with In Flagranti
Tomorrow my favourite NY band In Flagranti is playing here in Stockholm. They have many aliases but their real name are Sasha Crnobrnja & Alex Gloor. They have released music since 2002 on labels like Codek Records and Gomma.
Bottin - Disco For The Devil (In Flagranti Mix)
Bag Raiders - Shooting Stars (In Flagranti Remix)
Golden Bug - Looklooklook (In Flagranti Remix)
Act Yo Age - La Fumo Loco (In Flagranti Remix)
As NBC Washington said recently about them: "A new piece of X-rated synthesizer-disco from Brooklyn's In Flagranti. It's all implied filth, of course. Like The Rolling Stone's "Brown Sugar" or Lil' Wayne's "Lollipop" -and all the really good sexy music- it just sounds like it's dirty."
Below are some of my favourite works they've done. I've already posted their remix of Hercules & Love Affair on my "Best of 2009" list. So enjoy these songs and if you're in Stockholm 14th of January and want to see them live buy tickets at Debaser Slussen, where they will do their dirty performance, brought to us by our Swedish friends at 24:HOURS.

FM Attack remixes
FM Attack has also been a busy bee lately remixing our favourite tykes Grum and Edwin van Cleef as well as Aussies Pnau. We're all eagerly anticipating the album dropping this spring by the Canadian nu italo maestro.
EDIT: We have removed the Grum remix (again) because of copyright claims on the reworked Don Johnson sample that features in the track, so enjoy the cool original instead (pay attention between 1:00 and 1:20).
Grum - Heartbeats (FM Attack Remix) (Link killed again. Sorry for the inconvenience!)
Edwin Van Cleef - Overtaken (FM Attack Remix)
Pnau - With You Forever (FM Attack Remix)
Thanks to French Express for all the this wonderful music!

On a musical crusade with Black Holy
Growing up in Lebanon playing the piano with mortar rounds and rockets blasting all around her made Black Holy finally end up in Sweden studying art. But first after leaving her homeland she moved to the US for high school, college and warehouse raves. At that time it was a lot of baggy pants, Fila sneakers and booty bass in her new American life. But around the age of 21 she got more into the indie music and classic rock.
Her musical influences are also different kinds of music with acts like The Durutti Column, Kid Creole and The Coconuts, DJ Kaos, Hawkwind, Jan Hammer and of course Air France. She suppose her music comes out of this, as she says herself "big schizo jumble". And the things that come out is very interesting. When I first listened to it I heard something different and new. A fresh sound that got my fully intention. It's dreamy, it has nice guitar harmonies and most of all, it's playful. You can sense that Black Holy had a lot of fun making her music. And it will soon bear fruit when her music is going to be on the Swedish Radio. Congratulations!
Keep your ears open this spring when Black Holy is going to release an album. Sounds very interesting because she don't want to talk much about it. The only thing she said was that it's going to be much more different from now, still kind of odd because that's her style, but she will sing and it's going to be more pop friendly.
I can also reveal something extra about her, she can skate and she learned at a young age on a summer vacation in Sweden of all places...

Exclusive interview: Digitalfoxglove
Today we proudly present an exclusive interview with German electro star Peter Vincenz Wenk, better known as Digitalfoxglove. The interview came about in a rather unorthodox way. We got an email from him with his new remix of Leeds indie-band Heads We Dance and an invitation to ask for more information. Some emailing back and forth led to an improvised chat interview, complete with the soundtrack of his live-streamed mixing.
I’ve edited out some off-topic discussions, like the differences between Swedish and German Christmas foods and favourite rum drinks, but if you’re really interested you could email us and we’ll be happy to indulge you. It still has a chatty feel to it, so bare with us when we're jumping between the topics.
When the interview starts below, Peter had already told me about his plans for an album release in the summer. He had also played me a snippet of his upcoming track “Synthetic Sunshine”, which we’re eagerly anticipating.
First off, how did you come up with your name?
I thought about a name and I wanted something... poisonous. A Foxglove is a deadly flower and then I added "digital" since I make electronic music.
You’re German. Where in Germany are you from?
I'm living in Darmstadt, a small town near Frankfurt. If you would translate it to English it would be "Gut city", so well, it’s the end of the world…
Gut city, eh? Yeah, 'tarm' is gut in Swedish so it sounds about right.
(here we had a linguistical discussion about the similarities between Swedish and German and the influence of German on Swedish from the Middle Ages)
So when did your interest in music develop?
Oh, that started really early when I was around twelve years old. I had just got my first computer and a good friend from school brought Impulse Tracker 2.14 (for DOS) to me. I think it was around 1994 or 1996. I messed around a lot in that little program; sampled a lot of stuff, crazy work for a dumb kid but it was so funny to play around with. When I turned 17 and started my everyday work I stopped making music till I was 23.
I listened to heavy metal and stuff and went through almost every genre. Then I met Aleks from Discodust. We were working at the same company for a while and are now good friends. He brought back my fire for electronic music. I'm 26 now so that was in the 90s..
So how did you make contact with On the Fruit Records?
That also happened thanks to Aleks. He got me in contact with Franck (Freak You) and we both loved each other’s 'trash and unfinished tracks' folder so much that we decided to do a collaboration. Now we are really good friends too. One of my best I think despite the geographical distance (Franck lives in Antibes, France).
Speaking of your music, it’s no surprise that you say you listen to metal. You can sometimes hear that sort of guitar walls in your music that sounds a bit like French trash electro, but with a twist.
I think that’s because I overused distortion on for example “Brassionata”, but I’ve left that style a bit. On the other hand I'm a big fan of Rammstein. I just received a fat banner of their new album. It’s three meters wide and one meter high. I’ll hang that over my screen. It says 'Love is there for everyone'…
That’s nice. So, trashing your old music are you, hehe?
Yeah I'm going to change my style a bit. I’m trying to get a bit more funk mixed up with dreamwave and also some heavy passages.
Yeah, that sort of trashy French electro has evolved a bit hasn’t it?
Yeah it has definitely. Speaking of that, I'm working together with Slaughterbrains too on a new track that shows the direction that I'm moving in.
(Here Pete played a snippet of the upcoming collaboration)
We recorded it via Skype during a live jamming session while having some drinks…
Sounds great! I think that you have a great feeling for melodies and harmonies, especially in the track with Freak You.
Thank you. Well, I’ve never played any instruments, except drums when I was younger. Because our family was not very rich, I never got my own drum set and I had to find another way to make music.
So your musical influences are metal and Rammstein?
Haha, no not really. Sure, I love metal but if I have to decide which music really influences me then that is some work of Miami Horror and all that nice sounding 80s stuff. But I really don’t have fixed genres that I like – I'm always trying to do different stuff, like the little dubstep influenced breakdown in my “Take my Picture” remix.
Do you dj?
Yeah sometimes, but I'm focusing on production. Sure, djing is fun too and I think in 2010 I will play some more gigs. But what I'm often doing is djing online!
(at this point Pete sets up a stream and starts mixing live online, with our chat sprawling out to discussions over track selections, favourite drinks etc)
Do you play in any clubs in the Darmstadt area?
I’ve just had two gigs so far. One was in Salzburg the other one in Dresden.
…Oh, I got more info for you! “Beasts and Flowers” will be re released with remixes by We are Enfant Terribles, Justin Faust, Diamond Cut, FFair, Underhall and Jungle Fiction.
Cool, that’s great news! On On the Fruit?
Yes.
What’s your favourite music right now?
Miami Horror – “Sometimes”, some Justin Faust stuff, the new Monsieur Adi – “We are the Romans” and of course Freak You's remix of it.
Tell me about the collaboration with him. How did it work?
For “Beasts and Flowers” it was like... I did some melodies, especially chords and leads and some bells. Then I was talking to Franck and he said wow, let’s finish this one together! I exported what I had so far and then it was just taken to another level. So let’s say he did the polishing of everything and also was the man behind the nice bassline and the long sweeping chords that starts at about halfway into the track.
What’s your relation to these 8/16bit sounds? I mean I grew up playing videogames with these sounds.
Oh, I love chip tunes! I'm a passionate C-64 fan. I had one since I was 10. I used to play Kikstart (a motocross game) on it, and Giana Sisters of course. I had an Amiga 500 too. I played with Protracker on it. And Firepower 2000 and North and South.
So what do you think will be the direction of "French electro" in the future? You were talking about more dreamwave stuff…
That's not an easy question, but I think Kris Menace, Alan Braxe and other big ones have put that music to a whole new level. I think it will just get more… 'real'. With real instruments; live played bass and that sort of thing.
Thanks for the chat and the great music and good luck!

Angie Audio, I presume?
That's the tricky question even after I've searched the MySpace of Angie Audio (or just Angie). The logo on the art just say Angie, but the title of tracks say Angie Audio, but the posters say both. I put my money on Angie Audio but I got to send them a mail in the morning to straighten things out. What I do know is that they are based in Houston, Texas and the man behind Tally Isham is the man behind Angie Audio. Stumbled upon these great tracks while visiting another fine and friendly blog named Playmaker, big ups for that. "Desert Lover" is a beauty!

Codebreaker, makes you mine
Codebreaker takes on Miami Horror's classic "Make You Mine" from their EP "Bravado" released in 2008. The track is already remixed by great people like Cassian and remix master Fred Falke, so with that in mind Codebreaker got into the fight. And they deliver some great nu disco punches, in other words, they can bear their heads high. And you should keep your head high also, so you are ready, because Codebreaker is having some new stuff in the pipeline...

Growing old with French dream pop
Today the French dream pop duo Schaatz wished me a Happy New Year by telling me that I'm going to age along with their new remix of Digits. I laughed when I realized that it's only the truth. However, I didn't laugh listening to their new remix, it's once again a handy craftsmanship created by these guys, who lived in the Alps once. Maybe it was the air of the Alps that made them create these fine harmonies or maybe it's the fact that they also are growing old...

Sir Lancelot's Dj Tools #1
Hello guys and dolls! This is my first post this year, hope you enjoyed Tracasseur's "Best of 2009" lists. I've had an excellent NYE, with lots of oysters, champagne, fireworks and beautiful women around me. That's what she said...no really!
Here are some of my 12" vinyl records I've transferred especially for you. Hope you enjoy them and btw I don' think you will find these anywhere else in the blogosphere. They are all in 320kbit/s. Sir Lancelot says enjoy!
Cassius - La Mouche (played live by DJ Falcon)
La Mouche means The Fly and you can hear the buzzing sound all the way through. I've played this at Spy Bar last week and the crowd went crazy.
Les Rythmes Digitales - Music Makes You Loose Control (Remix)
This version is so hard to find. Love the build-up in it. Met LRD in NY back in -98 when he was still a brat and not producing Madonna.
The Mighty Bop - Too Deep
Deep and heavy jazzy tune. Very 2002...
The Mighty Bop - Fantasia
If you didn't like the other one maybe you like this.
Basement Jaxx - Samba Magic
Indeed pure magic!
Basement Jaxx - Eu Nao
Also another song I played at my last gig. Amazing response for this classic.
The Migrants (Play Paul) - I Thought That (Jules Spinner Tweaked Remix)
From 2005, so we're getting closer present time. Love the tweakin' sound in the middle.
Serial Crew - Need U (Muttonheads Remix)
One of the producers is Demon Ritchie from the old school house scene. This track is also from 2005.

As the Night Rolls On
This track is not that new, but it's Flashmen's latest one and it's great. So when we got a superb remix of this track by Brooklyn-based Jemex it was time for "As the Night Rolls On" to get some blog-time.
I have already written about Flashmen (also from Brooklyn) in August last year when I praised their "Little Wildkat" and I feel a little bit of shame leaving them out of my "Best of 2009" list with that fantastic tune. We were also among the first blogs to post their remix of Visitor's "Los Feeling". And these two guys behind Flashmen are going to have a blast in 2010, I believe. Their journey have just begun, 2010 could be "the year of the Flashmen". So when summing up the best tracks of 2010 I will definitely have a Flashmen track on it.
Jemex have had a lot of fine remixes out in 2009, among the artists remixed you find TV Off, Autokratz and Madison Avenue. The EP "Square 1" released in June is out on iTunes and Amazon where Jemex is featured by Dean Gray.
Here are the original "As the Night Rolls On" by Flashmen featuring Sewingpattern (named Guitar Edit), the Jemex remix and also the other remixes made of this track.

Nothing Ever Ends
That's the title of the new single released by Håkan Ludvigson together with ALX002 and Cedar M in December on Kant Recordings. It's melodic tech-house as it's best. To buy the whole single with remixes of Eric Ericksson and Over8 head over to Beatport or Juno.
Håkan is definitely one of Sweden's most prominent producers in that genre and have been that for quite a while now. He's been playing on a lot of clubs in Asia and have released several remixes and tracks both in Europe and in the US. Now he's working on his first full-length techno album. You should also check out his own record labels Clubstream and Substream for more techno, tech-house and electro-pop.

GFR003 - Le Prix
The third release for our friends at the 80s italo label Girlfriend Records is now out. This time it's actually one of our closest friends in the nu italo business; Le Prix. He has once again created a well flavoured italo sound that seems like taken from a 80s road trip along the coast of the western US.
Girlfriend Record's head of chief, great Sferro himself, has made the remix to the B-side. He told us that he wasn't that satisfied because making it in only one night, due to the release today. But I have to disagree with him totally, because I think it's a superb remix.
Then you just have to give all your love to Le Prix and of course to Girlfriend Records, who always give away their releases for free. And because it's free, it's not bad, it's instead awesome nu italo delivered to you. Be grateful!

A little more Le Matos
Great Canadians Le Matos, that made both mine and Arnie's lists of the best tracks of 2009, have been remixed by their fellow mate Elektro-boy. As Elektro-boy aka Cristóbal Cortes describes the remix of the classic Le Matos track: "Elektro-boy has once again opened the gates of hell...". It's a heavenly good remix straight out of hell, if I should describe it.
Le Matos - Like Perfume on a Pig (Elektro-boy Gates of Hell Remix)
Le Matos themselves made a remix not so long ago of Delphic's "This Momentary" that somehow slipped my radar. Maybe I was drunk that day or something, because I can't really understand how I could have missed out on this phenomenal remix. As compensation I share it with you guys, together with the original track.
