Three-man-piece Trophy Wife from Oxford will release their debut single "Microlite" November 8 through Moshi Moshi. Being introduced for them a few weeks back, I must say it sounds really nice. As their sound is described: "...sparse melodies, melancholic beats and lush, echoing vocals..." and as "ambitionless office disco" it's hard not to like. With influences as Studio, Polmo Polpo, The Notwist, Hank Marvin and Tortoise you know quite how it could sound now. Check out the video for the release:
We can offer two remixes and an acoustic version of "Microlite" for download but you can also preview the release here, and then you should buy your own "Microlite" with b-side "Take This Night" over here.
